Jennifer M. Greenfield has practiced law in Atlanta, Georgia since 2001. She practices both litigation and general business counseling.
At The Lang Legal Group, Ms. Greenfield has developed a litigation practice, with significant experience in arbitration, mediation and court. Her litigation practice has involved legal issues such as business dissolution, breach of contract, corporate governance, commercial law, construction and fraud. Ms. Greenfield began her practice at a large national law firm as an associate practicing in the area of general corporate and securities law. Her practice has included providing advice and counsel on matters including corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance, contract negotiations and compliance with federal and state securities laws. She has further represented issuers in connection with public offerings and private placements of both debt and equity securities.
Ms. Greenfield has continued her corporate practice at The Lang Legal Group and has provided guidance to clients in areas such as entity formation and transaction structures. She has also drafted and negotiated many contracts, ranging from employment agreements to distributor agreements.
Educational
Ms. Greenfield graduated from University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, Virginia in May of 2001. While there, she was on the editorial board of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law and participated in the William Minor Lile Moot Court Competition. She received her undergraduate degree in Finance, with Honors, from the Warrington College of Business Administration at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
Community
Ms. Greenfield has provided representation in a pro bono adoption through Atlanta Legal Aid Society’s Grandparent/Relative Caregiver Project. She has also provided pro bono representation to teenagers in Juvenile Court through the Truancy Intervention Project. Ms. Greenfield is a member of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers. She also has experience assisting pro bono clients through Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation with landlord tenant issues and will drafting.
